Heart Check
A heart check is a face-to-face appointment with your Cardiologist. Depending on the type of appointment, this may either be an initial appointment or discuss symptoms and identify next steps, or to provide you with results and discuss a management plan. Your cardiologist will also advise if further tests or procedures are recommended and will talk about these options with you.
Post Procedure Care
We are dedicated to providing lifelong care for our patients. At Auburn Cardiology, our commitment to better heart health extends beyond the procedure itself. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive post-procedure care that encompasses physical, emotional, and lifestyle aspects, ensuring our patients have the best possible outcomes and a higher quality of life.
We schedule Post-procedure Care appointments to thoroughly discuss the results of all investigations and procedures, recognising the significance of a holistic approach to patient well-being. In collaboration with Auburn Hospital and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, we encourage our patients to participate in cardiac rehabilitation programs.
These programs focus on exercise, education, and lifestyle modifications, all of which are essential for optimal recovery and the prevention of future cardiovascular events. Our team works closely with the rehabilitation specialists to ensure a seamless transition and continuity of care.
We recognise the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to post-procedure care. Alongside our cardiologists, we involve clinical psychologists and dieticians to provide additional support and guidance. Studies have shown that these measures significantly enhance fitness levels, instil confidence, and improve overall satisfaction following hospital stays or procedures.
This holistic approach addresses not only the physical aspects but also the emotional and nutritional well-being of our patients. By addressing these factors, we aim to enhance recovery, promote adherence to medications and lifestyle modifications, and ultimately improve long-term heart health outcomes.
