With more than fifty years of experience, A/Prof Nidhikant Patel has nurtured and cared for generations of patients and their families, making a profound difference in the Auburn and Western Sydney region, and beyond. His unwavering commitment to providing comprehensive treatment spans the entire spectrum of cardiology conditions.

A/Prof NC Patel, the esteemed director and founder of Auburn Cardiology, brings an impressive array of qualifications and accomplishments to our esteemed practice. Graduating with MBBS and MD degrees from Bombay University in 1965, he went on to earn FRACP in 1972 and FCSANZ thereafter. With an illustrious career spanning over four decades, A/Prof Patel served as a VMO Cardiologist at Auburn Hospital from 1974 to 2022, as well as at Concord Hospital from 1974 to 2017. Recognizing his exceptional dedication to teaching and research, he was appointed Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Notre Dame in 2010.

A true luminary in the field, A/Prof Patel has left an indelible impact through his extensive involvement in teaching. For over 50 years, he has been shaping the minds of medical students, hospital registrars, and GPs, sharing his wealth of knowledge and expertise. His commitment to education has been widely acknowledged, garnering prestigious awards, including an Australia Day award in 2015 for his service to the Auburn community, alongside numerous hospital and university accolades for teaching.
